On September 25, the Yantai Yulong Island Refining and Chemical Integration Project began to be put into production one after another. This is the largest industrial project in Shandong Province so far, and it is also a landmark project for the transformation of new and old kinetic energy that the province has devoted its efforts to build.
The project realizes the high-value utilization of crude oil throughout the whole process by building a complete industrial chain of refining and chemical industry. The design follows the principle of 'less oil and more chemicals, maximizing the production of ethylene materials, and moderately producing aromatic materials'.
In terms of refining, by linking the world's largest 4 million tons catalytic cracking unit and the country's largest 3 million tons slurry bed equipment, the heavy quality and diversification of raw materials are realized, the raw materials are 'squeezed dry', and raw materials are provided for the production of downstream chemical plants. In terms of chemical industry, two 1.5 million tons/year ethylene units are the leaders. Among them, the ethylene unit is the largest single-unit ethylene unit under construction in China. Its core equipment 1.5 million tons/year 'ethylene three machines' have achieved the first domestic demonstration application, which is the largest, most technically complex and highest-level domestic equipment in China.
It is reported that the project will be built in two phases: the total investment of the first phase is 116.8 billion yuan, mainly to build 20 million tons/year of refining, 3 million tons/year of ethylene, 3 million tons/year of mixed xylene and other production units and public works. After the completion of the first phase of the project, it is expected to achieve annual sales revenue of 116.6 billion yuan and profits and taxes of 29.6 billion yuan.
At present, the first phase of the 10 million tons of refining series II unit has been officially put into production, and the chemical series one unit is expected to be put into production in November; at the same time, the 10 million tons of refining series one unit and the chemical series two unit will also be fully ready for production by the end of the year, and trial production will be carried out at an appropriate time. After the implementation of the first phase of the Yulong Island Refining and Chemical Integration Project, the province's local refining capacity will be reduced by 6.96 million tons, and carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced by 4-5 million tons per year.
The Yulong Island Refining and Chemical Integration Project is a key construction project of the country's '14th Five-Year Plan', and it is also a major project for Shandong Province's industrial transformation and upgrading to promote high-quality development and a benchmark project for the conversion of new and old kinetic energy. After the project is completed, the three trillion-level parks of Yantai Chemical Industrial Park, Wanhua (Penglai) New Materials Low-carbon Industrial Park, and Yulong Petrochemical Industrial Park will be laid out in sequence, forming a high-end low-carbon new materials industrial base on the south coast of the Yellow Sea and Bohai Sea.
