The cumulative production of crude oil in Daqing Oilfield of PetroChina has exceeded 2.5 billion tons.

At 10:00 on March 26th, on the screen of the Intelligent production Command Center of PetroChina Daqing Oilfield, the output arrow jumped to a new peak: the cumulative production of crude oil in Daqing Oilfield exceeded 2.5 billion tons! 

What does it mean by 2.5 billion tons? 

It is equivalent to producing 1.78t of crude oil per capita for the country's 1.4 billion people. 

If one ton of crude oil is used to generate electricity of 4000 kilowatt hours, according to the total domestic electricity consumption of urban and rural residents in 2022, it can be used by the people of the whole country for 7.4 years. 

This is an arduous road. 

At the beginning of the founding of New China, the country was extremely short of oil. 

In 1959, Daqing oil field was discovered. 

From the completion of large oilfields to the development of high-efficiency oilfields, in the past 64 years, the rolling oil flow in Songliao Basin has been integrated into the national economic artery. Daqing Oilfield has achieved a stable production of 50 million tons of crude oil for 27 years and 40 million tons for 12 years, creating a miracle in the development of similar oilfields in the world. 

Especially in the ten years since the beginning of the new era, facing the challenges of difficult replacement of resources and difficult development in the ultra-high water cut stage, Daqing Oilfield has struggled to break through. Domestic crude oil has achieved hard and stable production of 30 million tons for eight consecutive years, and major strategic breakthroughs have been achieved in shale oil exploration. the green and low-carbon transformation of new energy has been accelerated in an all-round way, and the annual oil and gas production equivalent has always been maintained at more than 40 million tons. 

To speed up the realization of high-level scientific and technological self-reliance, Daqing Oilfield has created the world's leading continental sandstone oil field development technology, and the oil recovery of the main oil field has exceeded 54.8%. It has won the national special prize for scientific and technological progress three times. 

Chemical flooding enhanced oil recovery technology stays at the "C position" in the world, and has built the largest tertiary oil recovery production base in the world, with a cumulative output of nearly 300 million tons. 

2.5 billion tons. How much does it weigh? 

It accounts for 36% of China's total onshore crude oil output, and has paid a total of more than 30 billion yuan in taxes and various funds, giving birth to the development of important refining and chemical production bases in Northeast China. 

This figure marked in the history of the development of China's petroleum industry bears witness to PetroChina's strong support for national economic development and regional economic prosperity.
