Guangxi Petrochemical Refining and Chemical Integration Transformation and upgrading Project 1.2 million t / an Ethylene Plant started

The PetroChina Guangxi Petrochemical Integration Transformation and upgrading Project has officially entered the stage of large-scale and rapid construction. 

On July 29th, the 1.2 million t / an ethylene plant, the core unit of the project, started construction in Qinzhou Port. 

The PetroChina Guangxi Petrochemical Integration Transformation and upgrading Project is not only a major project in the planning and layout of the national petrochemical industry, but also a strategic project for PetroChina to promote the structural adjustment of "reducing oil and increasing chemical". 

The project started on March 28 this year, with a total investment of 30.5 billion yuan and covers an area of about 4620 mu, mainly including 14 chemical plants such as 1.2 million tons / year ethylene cracking and 2 refining units such as 2 million tons / year diesel oil adsorption and dearomation. supporting the new construction and renovation of some oil refining units and the corresponding public works, storage and transportation and auxiliary production facilities, which are scheduled to be completed and put into production in 2025. 

After it is completed and put into production, it will further give full play to the efficiency-generating capacity of existing oil refining assets, reducing 3.49 million tons of oil products and increasing the production of chemical products by 3.06 million tons per year. 

As the core unit of the transformation and upgrading project, the 1.2 million t / an ethylene plant adopts a complete set of large-scale ethylene technology with independent intellectual property rights of PetroChina, and the main products include polymer grade ethylene, polymer grade propylene, hydrogenated gasoline and styrene. At the same time, by-products such as hydrogen, mixed C 4, cracking C 5, C 9 and cracking fuel oil have achieved remarkable results.
